The next General Meeting of the Tasmanian Olive Council will be
held at the Campbell Town Hotel on Sunday the 22nd June 2008 commencing at 11-00am.

The TOC now owns the rights to "Love this Oil" packaging
stickers. This promotional theme was originally owned by Brian and Betty
Coates, who have donated this to our association. Stickers are available for
TOC members at 12c each.
The TOC is hoping to form an olive oil tasting panel with the intentions
of using this group as step towards helping to identify bona-fideTasmanian
extra virgin olive oil. Oils that fail this taste test can then be more
objectively assessed using chemical analysis techniques. The fatty acid
profile does change with fruit growth latitude, and possibly we can later
assess the types of polyphenols present.
